Jaslyn Cakes @ Telawi, Bangsar

Bonjour!

It's been a long time since my last post.. Was fairly busy with things

How's everyone doing? I hope it's well for you guys..

Finally, I have the time to visit one of the cafe in Bangsar which has been on my to go list for desserts and that cafe is Jaslyn Cakes!

Have been oogling all the instagram pictures of their desserts and heard great things about them!

Well we went there on a fine saturday morning which is fairly quiet..
It has that minimalist vibe in terms of its decor and homey too..

There's sofa at the back for a large group to enjoy their creations and the advantage of seating there is that you're able to see the kitchen in action making wonderful desserts!

There are mini black boards attached to the walls with information of their drink menu, desserts on offer and weekend specials! They have free wifi too if you wish to do your assignments while savouring their pretty desserts..

During that weekend, their weekend special was the lemon meringue tartlets, swissrolls and pavlova.. Truthfully speaking, when I entered their cafe and just stand at their counter area for quite some time as its difficult for me to decide what to try.. It's the hardest thing to decide as everything look so good and sinful!

Counter top filled with amazing goodies that are so sinfully decadent!

After much looking and finally give in for help by the staff recommendation, we had a pavlova as per the staff it was good! and also their madeleines with latte..

Their pavlova is really big and homey not the perfectly looking pavlova that you may have spot from magazines, cookery books or tv shows.. Its irregular but still quite smooth as there aren't much cracks visible and its topped with a handful of cream which is really delicious and sprinkles of strawberries and passion fruit.. The cream is light and have some hint of vanilla to it..
Actually I would love to have more berries and passion fruit in it to be able to have more of that sour element in that pavlova

Their madeleine even though looks really simple but its fluffy and light to eat and great accompaniment to the coffee or you can even enjoy it on its own

Verdict: Delicious dessert, great place to relax or hangout

Will have a return visit to try more of their beautiful looking desserts as there's a tart that i'm locking my eyes with
