Bait @ jalan telawi 3, bangsar

Its been a long time and we frequently passed by the rows of shops in Bangsar.. There was one restaurant in particular that I was quite interested and curious to find out their taste.. This place is sandwhiched between the el meson and smokehouse.. It is called BAIT!!!!

After the friday class, I suggested to N that we can try for Bait for lunch.. The first time I came across of Bait was from other bloggers review and I thought that why not have a go at this restaurant and see any changes made from the previous reviewed.. The moment we walked in the restaurant, it was relatively quiet and there wasn't much customers in the dining area but the whole atmosphere was rather laid back and relaxing with its staff being so comfortable with their casual uniform.. So the waitress which attended to us was very polite, friendly and quite helpful..

Well, we tried the Bait's set lunch which Nic chose was the spaghetti pomodoro and pumpkin soup whereas for myself I had a Salmon dish with cucumber salad.. Nic's pumpkin soup looks wonderful and bright mustard yellow colour but the taste wise it is rather disappointing as there isnt much pumpkin flavour in the soup which was sad as the colour made us perceived it to be full of flavour and there wasn't any seasoning in there.. Overall the soup was bland in flavour and lack of the pumpkin after mix with some cream..

 Next was the spaghetti pomodoro, the spaghetti was well made and the filling is just full of flavour.. there was alot of tomato puree and also slices of chicken which cooked perfectly and wasn't dry.. For the Salmon dish, it was rather disappointing as the portion of the salmon was rather small and the cucumber salad was too much with the tartar sauce in it.. Wasn't satisfied with such portion.. As a whole, the service is great just the food quality isn't consistent.. Be sure to look out for their promotions and varieties of oyster in that glass hanging on the wall..
