The Bee @ Jaya One

Buzz Buzz!!

Hey everyone! How's it going? Well would like to apologize for the silence but I'm back to share with you my foodie experiences with you..

Actually its been a long time since I heard about this The Bee and always wanted to eat, relax and experience their quirky and funky little cafe.. I found out that there is an outlet in Jaya One and I immediately get N to go with me hehehe..

Today is my lucky day as I finally get to try it!! Super happy and excited to try it.. So we went in and search for it which is quite easily to spot as it is located just opposite of starbucks and it is in the area known as Palm Square which houses alot of the eateries which offers numerous options of cuisine which ranges from Japanese to Local.. It also host alot of entertainment on certain days but you can check out their FB page or their website for more info..

Back to food.. So for today's visit, we had for lunch in The Bee was the Cajun chicken wrap and Chili prawn pasta which is from their set lunch menu.. Since it was our very first time trying out their food so we thought trying out their set lunch..
Chili prawn pasta
The moment the prawn pasta arrived to our table, it just looks pretty and quite appetizing but for Nic he had some doubts in the taste of its pasta as usually the pasta would be filled with the sprinkling of the herbs and also parsley..  Surprisingly, like the saying goes looks can be deceiving as it really applies for the pasta.. Initially, Nic was slightly worried that it might be lacking in flavour but after a bite of it, Well it does pack a punch of heat from the chili and taste also and not to mentioned it was seasoned well.. The shrimp was cooked nicely and fresh.. Overall, it was a nice dish

Cajun Chicken wrap
Next, we moved on to the Cajun Chicken Wrap which is what I ordered for lunch and it arrived in a basket containing huge rolls of cajun chicken.. It was alittle bit messy to tackle but it was filled with alot of chicken and cheese.. Not really to say my favourite but it was alright for me as the cajun flavour isn't that strong in the chicken wrap..

After a mediocre lunch, we still had some room for dessert and I heard about the famous artisan locally made called The Last Polka which has a wide range of flavours but they had separated it in 2 different categories of flavours, regular  (RM 7.90) and premium (RM 9.90)  flavours..
So for this visit, we tried their Guinness and a French Toast
Guinness
From the both ice cream we tried, it has a smooth texture and not too creamy.. The Guinness had a strong presence in the ice cream but lucky not over powering the whole thing.. It has the vanilla taste which is pleasant to eat and not overly sweet.. Just a right balance..
For the french toast, Nic ordered it but didn't quite like it because the taste of the french toast has a slight buttery and milky taste which doesn't goes well for him..
In an earlier visit, I had tried the nutella and salted gula melaka ice cream from the Artisan Coffee, BV2.. After trying both the flavours, I feel in love with the Nutella flavour which is packed with the nutella flavour whereas the salted gula melaka has a light hint of its gula melaka and surprisingly wasn't overly sweet and just had a right balance..

Verdict: Mediocre food, Love the Guinness ice cream but will try more.
